The Associate Director role in Private Equity provides talented and motivated finance professionals an opportunity to be involved in identifying, evaluating, acquiring and actively managing direct, control private equity investments. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the research, analysis and evaluation new investment opportunities through industry research, competitor assessments, financial statement analysis and financial modeling Lead commercial and operational due diligence workstreams Support leadership team in a strategic or operational project Prepare internal investment presentations Oversee work of Associates and play a role in the recruitment of Associates Supports transaction and Asset Management activities Lead role in monitoring performance and analysis, review quarterlies Lead portfolio company key value creation plan initiatives. Work alongside management to research and execute tuck-in acquisitions Support capital structure management, including debt refinancing, tax planning and capital budgeting QUALIFICATIONS Approximately 6 years of work experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting. Current 2nd year MBA students are welcome to apply MBA preferred Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines Excellent interpersonal skills and both written & verbal communication skills Be intellectually curious and have a long investment horizon Demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical skills Commitment to stay current on a variety of topics related to the investment themes being explored Embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team environment Driven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking Our story: Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $121 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2021.
