We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician to join our growing team!

Job Description for Production Technician:

The Production Technician will work in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager to support the business through projected sales growth. This individual will be responsible for setting up production lines through shift changes. The Production Technician will need to be able to identify mechanical errors and fix them in a timely fashion. The Production Technician will ensure that their co-workers have the best physical resources available to complete their duties. A successful Production Technician has a team-first attitude and has a general understanding of engineering concepts. The Production Technician will report directly to OMI's Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities of Production Technician include but are not limited to:

• Effectively prepare and set up production lines for shift changes.
• Perform preventative and proactive maintenance activities on production and facility equipment.
• Participate in team shift change meetings.
• Manage and lead relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Schedule external service provider visits.
• Assist with needs assessment and equipment evaluation projects.
• Fabrication and modification of components to improve manufacturing processes.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in both facilities to ensure maximum functionality.
• Assist with installation actions.
• Report on daily activites.
• Maintain records, logs, and files as needed.
• Ensure that designated facilities are fit for purpose.
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.) as needed.
• Provide proactive support and solutions when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements of Production Technician:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance type role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and familiarity of engineering concepts including pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience in planning maintenance operations.
• Strong aptitude to identify and repair systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to develop positive and effective relationships with co-workers, partners, and customers.

• Competent in problem-solving, team building, and decision-making.
• Able to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Physical Requirements:

The candidate must be able to walk, sit, stand twist, bend, kneel for up to 10 hours a day. This individual will be responsible for lifting to 50 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

The Production Technician will report to the OMI Campus in Rising Sun on a daily basis.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
