 We are looking for a full time Facilities Specialist for our branches who values great hours and pay. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

 

Summary: 

Responsible for completing assigned routine maintenance, repairs and improvements at all Credit Union properties Ensures all repairs are completed with high quality and in accordance with management guidelines. Maintains effective communication with the facilities department, branches, employees, and vendors as directed. Ensures all required logs, reporting, trouble tickets, checklists and documentation remain consistently up to date. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job as well as reporting to work on time and as scheduled. Physical presence on site is a requirement for this position. 


  • Experienced using all hand and power tools. Able to climb ladders and competent with weights and measurements.


  • Working knowledge of all state and local building codes and ordinances.


  • Team member must be detailed oriented and able to follow complex instructions and procedures.


  • Travels frequently to all branches and facilities as required.


  • Assists with the collection of vendor information, specifications of repairs as assigned or directed.


  • Responsible for completing assigned routine maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other vital facilities and equipment. Complete reports or other documentation within defined time limits as directed by the Facilities Manager.


  • Manage and update assigned tickets using the Omni service desk software.


  • Responsible for clearly understanding priorities as directed by manager and exercising a sense of urgency to get task complete ahead of or on schedule.


  • Monitor onsite vendors during scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs or upgrades. Ensure clear communication between all stakeholders on schedules, status and expected completion.


  • Maintain a clear understanding of Credit Union facilities for compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA and ADA requirements as well as fire and insurance safety standards. 


  • Maintain inventory log for all branch locations and ensure all consumables are properly stocked (Toilet paper, paper towel, sidewalk salt, etc.


  • Match invoices to packing slips to ensure the proper goods and services were received as expected and provided validation to manager.  


  • Assist with problems or questions regarding facilities related to safety or maintenance . 


  • Completes annual training of all required compliance regulations, including the BSA, and adheres to the regulations.


  • Maintain outstanding communication with supervisor, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new development, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility.


  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow team members, members, management staff, board members and outside vendors.


  • Clear understanding Disaster Recovery safety measures for buildings. Participate in Disaster Recovery on both the Assessment and Recovery Teams as required. 


  • Follow safety and security rules and regulations.


  • Protect and respect credit union equipment and supplies.


  • Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Highschool diploma and some college preferred. Business HVAC, Plumbing and

Electrical experience or certification. Three (3) to six (6) years of related experience 

and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, regulatory agencies, benefit providers, and others.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY:

Continuous use of judgment, reasoning, patience and negotiation. Frequent use of 

initiative, ingenuity and creativity. Frequent problem-solving. In certain circumstances, problem resolution may require considerable diplomacy while dealing with difficult people.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Personal computer applications knowledge and skills to include Microsoft Office. Ability to create an atmosphere that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and initiative.

Must be good with detail and numbers and have good organizational and 

people skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Working conditions and environment will vary. Travel is required to all OMNI

properties and buildings. This position is exposed to noise, dust, heat, cold and 

mechanical equipment. Due to the nature of our business, there is a risk exposure

to potentially hazardous conditions.  


MENTAL DEMANDS:

The mental characteristics necessary to competently perform this job include the frequent need to write or type, and the continuous need to be resourceful, persuasive, and creative in all aspects of the loan documentation. In addition, the job holder requires imagination, concentration and negotiating skills to be successful in performing the job duties as well as a high aptitude for technology.
