Job Description
The Lead Painter will assist the painters, maintenance engineers, subcontractors and guests throughout the resort. This position will assist with training of painting staff throughout the department.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- All the responsibilities listed in the Painter job description.
- Monitor data input (for painting projects) into engineering programs (synergy) and guide others in the department as they are learning to use these systems.
- Handling painting projects with an emphasis in the scheduling and coordination of general contractor work. Assure that contracted work is completed as specified by contract documents.
- Act as liaison between Engineering and other departments and guests as needed.
- Monitor the flow of information coming into the specific area of responsibility to be sure all situations are being handled appropriately and assist with difficult calls.
- Communicate with supervisors, co-workers and guests necessary information for concern or project completion when appropriate.
- Completes appropriate documents and logs for work assigned on a daily basis.
- Prepares interim and completion project reports.
- Operate power and hand tools.
- Inventory materials and equipment to keep par levels.
- Clean all work areas after completing a job. Maintain engineering shops and vehicles in a clean and organized manner.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - At least four to six years experience in the trade preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of finishes, tinting, brush and roller technique, supervisory experience over other painters, organizational skills, attention to detail and new construction or remodel experience helpful.
Pay Rate: $25.90/hr
