Assembler I

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs assembly operations to deliver highest quality and on-time delivery to customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembles finished products using powder-coated parts and appropriate hardware to print.

• Packages and skids finished product.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area.
• Follows established safety guidelines.
• Follows correct processes and procedures to assemble product to ensure best quality.
• Move parts within the factory using a hand-jack.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to use wrenches, power drill, shrink wrap and strapping equipment
• Ability to read prints
• Ability to use tape measure and calipers
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Hilo driver’s license preferred
• Must be team player

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma
• Prior Manufacturing Experience desirable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information with co-workers.
• The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
• The employee may occasionally be required to traverse within the facility.
• The employee will constantly operate equipment and handle material that requires dexterity, grip, and detection of minute details in materials, tools and/or equipment.
• The employee may be required to ascend/descend and position themselves around equipment, tools, and fixturing.
• The employee must frequently move, lift, and/or transport components, tools, and equipment ranging from 10 – 60 pounds.
• Specific abilities required by this job include the ability to perceive items up close, observe items in the distance, distinguish between colors, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Position will function in a factory environment with assembly and welding operations.
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
• The work environment is occasionally dusty.
