Powder Coat Support - 1st Shift

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a drive to deliver the highest quality and on-time delivery of products to our customers.

Work Schedule for this role is Monday thru Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM. With mandatory OT required occasionally on Fridays and rarely Saturdays when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and unload powder coat line. Perform some assembly while parts are hanging on the powder coat line using both power tools and hand tools.
• Check quality of powder finish and wash. Identify quality problems in gloss, evenness of finish, and color.
• Maintain powder coat equipment.
• Work through daily schedule to provide on-time delivery and high quality components.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Must have quality mindset.
• Must have visual acuity to see quality and finish defects (gloss, etc.).
• Must be a minimum of 5’8” tall for safety purposes to work with line trolley for load & unload.
• Must have excellent color vision.
• Has respect for equipment and cleanliness of work area.
• Must be a team player.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information with co-workers.
• The employee is frequently required to frequently travel throughout the powder coat line and occassionaly remain in a stationary position.
• The employee will handle components that requires dexterity, grip, and detection of minute details in material.
• The employee is frequently required to ascend/descend and position themselves around equipment, tools, and fixturing.
• The employee must frequently move, lift and/or transport components, tools, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Specific abilities required by this job include the ability to perceive items up close, observe items in the distance, distinguish between colors, and the ability to adjust focus.
