Position: Organic Chemist II
Location: Rahway, NJ
Pay Rate: $48 per hour
Responsibilities:
This is a laboratory-based role to support process development. The client is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis (including chemocatalysis, biocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry, along with a proven track record of solving problems.

Qualifications
- A PhD in Chemistry with 0-1year experience or an MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and / or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must have: Synthetic organic chemistry experience.
Prefer:
- Experience in industry pharma/Agro-chemical.
Preferred Skills
- Significant experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR
- Experience in DOE design and process characterization
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting experiments
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willing to work in a collaborative manner as a part of a team
