Security Intern
SUMMARY:
This position will support On Call International clients and management by identifying and monitoring geopolitical incidents, developments, and trends that could affect the safety or security of clients or organizations’ staff, travelers, assets, and/or operations globally. In this role, the Intern will gain exposure to security operations, intelligence, and crisis management. The internship is paid and part time on a hybrid schedule based out of the Salem, NH office.

In this role, the Intern will gain exposure to security operations, intelligence, and crisis management. The internship is paid and part time on a hybrid schedule based out of the Salem, NH office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and identify geopolitical and security incidents, developments, and trends that could affect the safety & security of On Call International constituents, Tokio Marine clients, and interests around the world.
- Support the On Call International Security Team (OST) with assigned tasks, such as research, assessment and analysis work, daily risk reports, incident briefs, etc.
- Initiate tasks and projects in a self-motivated and creative manner, while attending to other requisite tasks in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Support the OST with case management for all urgent security matters, such as global crises and evacuations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Interest in actively following global events and their implications for international travel.
- Research and critical thinking skills for collecting, synthesizing, and evaluating large amounts of data in order to draw logical and actionable conclusions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiarity with international security issues.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required.
- Strong time management experience with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
LOGISTICS:
- Part time schedule, flexible during business day office hours.
- Based out of Salem, NH office. Hybrid office/remote schedule.
- Paid hourly rate.
- Approximate duration 4 months, extension possible given all parties interested.
