Kennel manager/trainer/whelping technician
For 40 years On The Bluff Labradors have bred, raised, and trained exceptional dogs. We are located on 15 pristine acres in the Hudson River Valley.
This is a full time management live-in position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor birthing process to ensure health and safety of the pups and adults. Perform whelping procedures, assisting litter whenever necessary. Handle all post whelp clean-up, care, and treatments.
- Effectively work with pups in early obedience, socialization and advanced puppy training
- Cleaning and maintaining puppy kennel facilities with aid of staff
- Good interpersonal skills. Working with staff providing schedules with support and guidance. Work with clients, who are picking up trained puppies.
- Working on website to update with puppy pictures and videos. Interfacing with social media

Job Requirements -
- Must Love Dogs!
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Have a Strong Work Ethic
- Self Starter
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Web and social media skills
- Have drivers license
- One to two years or more of experience in either dog training or animal husbandry
We will train the proper candidate in the use of whelping techniques
