Position: Part-Time High School Special Education Teacher & Part-Time High School Basic Education Teacher (You will spend part of your day as a SPED teacher and part as General Ed) this is a FULL TIME POSITION

Start Date: Beginning of the 2024-2025 school year
Salary: $52,424 DOE

Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a special education endorsement required.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individualized needs of diverse learners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the high school general education curriculum.
- Provide instruction and support to students requiring additional assistance in core academic subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic needs of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to facilitate student learning and skill development.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support student growth and achievement.
