A day in the life as an Industrial Electronics Technician - Paper Mill can look like...
- Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial equipment following electrical code, manuals, and schematics
- Provide hands-on extensive technical support to all manufacturing operations for instrumentation and electrical control applications
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment
- Installing new electrical equipment, inventory and parts management
- Supporting other maintenance activities including mechanical tasks as required
- Performing tasks list to include, but not limited to, testing, calibration, and repairs of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, indicating, and control instruments / equipment
We know you can handle these things because you have experience like:
- All Military Veterans are encouraged to apply! Military backgrounds specializing in Electronics, Fire Control, Nuclear, Weapons Control, Avionics, Instrumentation, Sonar etc. transition particularly very well in this position!
- Industrial experience in flat sheet processes such as papers
- Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronics, Electro-mechanical, Electrical System Maintenance or Manufacturing Technology or related military experience
- It is also very beneficial to have at least two (2) years of electrical/electronic and/or instrument & control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including periods of time in noisy, dusty, hot or cold environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various electrical sensors, switches, controllers, instrumentation, transmitters, automated valves, calibrations, industrial communications, robotics, motion control, and AC/DC control power
- QCS experience with equipment (Honeywell, ABB, Mahlo, Valmet, Thermofisher, etc.) OR - equivalent military work experience (fire control, nuclear, weapons control, avionics, electronics, etc...) preferred but not required.
