Onco360 has an immediate need for a Compliance Analyst. Onco360 Pharmacy is a unique oncology pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers.
Summary: The Compliance Analyst will aid the Compliance and Privacy Officer in support of the Company’s Compliance Audit and Monitoring Plan and Quality Assurance Program. Also, the Compliance Analyst will assist with ensuring each pharmacy is properly and continuously licensed by the assigned State Boards of Pharmacy (BOPs) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Compliance Analyst Major Responsibilities:
Auditing and Monitoring:
- Conducts frequent Medicare, Medicaid, Copay Card, Call Monitoring, etc. audits of multiple pharmacy locations and reports out results to pharmacy operations, Compliance Committee, etc.
- Actively monitors pharmacy and prescription related compliance, protocols, and responsibilities of employees via phone monitoring of pharmacy operations.
- Investigates, logs, and reports all compliance related events in a detailed manner.
- Conduct audits of patient profiles while monitoring calls.
- Effectively communicates and presents information on compliance activities on a regular basis.
- Compiles and provides quarterly data to the Compliance and Privacy Officer, for the Quality Improvement and Compliance Committees’ metrics (quarterly data from Medicare Audits, quarterly metrics from the Daily Compliance Deviations flagged etc.)
- Monitors and provides analysis of state legislative/regulatory activity and assists with implementation of changes
- Collaborates with appropriate departments to collect data from multiple reporting systems/sources for auditing purposes.
Licensing
- Assists with corresponding with assigned Boards of Pharmacy (BOPs), DEA, and outside agencies on behalf of Onco360/CareMed to secure license renewals, submit changes, i.e., pharmacy moves, changes in pharmacist-in-charge (PIC), etc.
- Research state BOP regulations and requirements (inspection triggers, signage requirements, label requirements, etc.). Notify pharmacies of upcoming regulatory changes that will affect practice.
- Zero Reporting / Waiver Tracking –complete zero reports to prescription drug monitoring programs for pharmacies as required. Monitor and renew exemptions and maintain spreadsheet.
- Serve as an administrator of the license tracking database.
Compliance Analyst Position Qualifications:
- Education/Work Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or related field. At least two (2) years of compliance and quality assurance experience.
- Skills/Knowledge:
- Required: Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas: verbal/written communication, computer/data entry/software proficiency, and attention to detail. Experience working in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare fields. Working knowledge of quality assurance/improvement and compliance experience. Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate communication, organizational, administrative and office skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical solutions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of DEA and State Boards of Pharmacy licensure requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
