Onco360 has an immediate need for a Director of Purchasing. Onco360 is a unique oncology pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers.
- Lead and develop a team of purchasing and inventory specialists.
- Seize responsibility for the management of pharmacy inventory levels and coordination of activities for multiple pharmacy sites.
- Interact with operations teams and drive efficiencies with a focus on collaboration for providing the highest level of care for our customers.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external customers, to include suppliers, manufacturers and leadership team.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and scalability; develop business justification and advocate for implementation.
- Ensure the team is performing daily purchasing for the Onco360 network, utilizing purchasing analytics and adhering to supplier contracts.
- Work to prevent out of stock occurrences and site transfers by monitoring sales trends and other relevant analytics.
- Maintain key control environment. Manage weekly cycle counts and physical inventory counts; analyze and convert the results into meaningful insights to mitigate potential inventory shrink.
- Ensure weekly Medi Span updates ran to maintain updates in product costs within CPR ; store and provide a retrieval of the weekly confirmations that the update occurred and for which products.
- Support purchasing team in coordinating intra-company product transfers to reduce the need for purchasing and mitigate loss due to expiration of product.
- Ensure the purchasing team can maintain stock levels within acceptable Inventory DOH constraints.
- Effectively communicate critical cut-off times and specific purchase requirements to necessary Operations staff.
- Report Physical Inventory results to leadership team.
- Monitor and report any inventory expiration risk within the Onco360 network. Work with the operations leaders to ensure all teams are utilizing FEFO stock rotation where possible. Set up strategic transfers to ensure short-dated product is dispensed before expiring.
- Perform random weekly spot audits of three-way match to identify any deficiencies in accuracy.
- Create and maintain documented processes for Inventory-specific activities, including but not limited to: Receiving, Transfers, Cycle Counting, Physical Inventory and Returns.
- Assist with bi-weekly analysis of drug dispensing data used to recalibrate Purchasing triggers.
- Analyze dispensing trends to anticipate increases/decreases in stock levels.
- Create redundancy and provide coverage for staff responsibilities as needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain
- Desired: MBA or other Advanced Business Degree
- Required: 5 years supply chain, inventory, or purchasing leadership experience
- Desired: 7-10 years’ experience as a leader with a proven history of success managing high volume inventory, Strong preference given to pharmacy experience.
- Required: Ability to synthesize information from different inputs into swift and strategic actions; financial implications of inventory management (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow)
- Desired: Proficiency in MS Excel, data management and visualization, process development and implementation, SQL
