Position Description:

You will report to the Manager of Payroll and HR Accounting. You will be located in Tulsa, OK, and will work a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and some days working remotely. You will have 3 years in payroll with experience in payroll tax and experience working in a leadership role. You will have strong analytical skills, a high proficiency in Excel, and the ability to dig into data to problem-solve and improve processes. Experience working with a cloud payroll system is strongly preferred.
What You Will Do
Supervise and direct employees related to payroll processes and payroll accounting. Also, administer and interpret HR policies and procedures related to payroll and time entry.
Oversee, direct and/or perform duties related to the preparation of information and reports; including:
Governmental reporting
Third-party Reporting
W-2 documents
Wage withholding
Payroll taxes
Oversee, monitor, and/or administer payroll activities including:
Prepare, reconcile, and close year-end payroll
Prepare, reconcile, and process regular payrolls
Monitor payroll funding
Provide guidance and direction relative to payroll processes to employees, supervisors, management, industry peers and others.
Perform calculations, review, analyze, interpret and/or monitor information and reports including:
Government reports
Payroll reports
Training analysis
Budgets
Policies and procedures revisions and recommendations
Financial ratios
Projections/forecasts
Variances
Payroll allocations
Accounting reports
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Minimum Bachelor's Degree Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field.
Experience administering and interpreting payroll policies and procedures.
Experience of regulatory agencies and governmental laws and regulations about payroll administration.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including using computer applications such as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Application of math, algebra and basic statistics.
Experience with and/or training related to:
Human Resources Systems (HRS)
Tax reporting
Accounting principles
Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Experience monitoring, analyzing and validating payroll transactions to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Experience conducting research, analyzing and preparing information including reconciliations, general ledger reports and tax reports.
Experience interacting, directing, delegating and/or communicating effectively.
Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
Read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license
Mobility to travel in and around office surrounding and to other work locations.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
Requires travel to other company offices and facilities and to job sites.
