Job Summary
Under assigned supervisor, the Case Manager Supervisor 1 is responsible for the supervision of the delivery of services in assigned program in accordance to program guidelines.
Under assigned supervisor, the Case Manager Supervisor 1 is responsible for the supervision of the delivery of services in assigned program in accordance to program guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists CQI in the development of agency documentation to enhance programming, to ensure quality of service and to meet the requirements of the funding source policies and procedures
• Attends court hearings, case reviews, staffing's, and meetings as needed
• Completes and submits performance appraisals in a timely manner
• Completes various outcome reports as required
• Conducts weekly unit meetings with staff
• Ensures adequate client contact is maintained in accordance with specific program guidelines and the minimum required contact hours are achieved each month
• Ensures adherence to contractual obligations with the funding source
• Ensures staff at all levels are closely monitoring child and client safety and are appropriately responsive to any situation posing a risk to, or by, a client
• Ensures that staff handles unusual incidents in a prompt and effective manner
• Handles client, staff, caretaker, and/or collateral complaints and grievances
• Manages a 24-hour on-call response system, which may be for referral intake and/or client emergencies
• Monitors program expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints
• Oversees case responsibilities and provides guidance in case planning
• Participates in agency management meetings, work groups, public speaking engagements to promote agency programs and services and trainings with funding source
• Provides direct service to children and families in the absence of assigned staff
• Provides staff with training, education, and supervision on therapeutic approaches with clients and support
• Reviews all written documents generated by staff and ensures that the required documents are in case file
• Reviews funding source policies and procedures and trains staff on the implementation of these procedures
• Reviews intake information of clients referred for services and determines if the referral will be accepted
• Staffs all cases and manages case assignments to ensure an equal distribution of cases and to maintain the appropriate staff-to-client ratios as outlined by the funding source
• Works with staff to ensure permanency for clients
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education
Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Special Education, Education, Human Services Development, Child Development, Family Development, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Nursing from an accredited college or university
Experience
Master’s degree and at least two years of experience or Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience in human services or child welfare programs
Certification
State of Florida; Child Welfare Certification
Other
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance

Physical Demands & Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position requires visual and auditory acuity within professionally determined normal ranges, with correction if need; and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and office equipment, including, but not limited to, the telephone, computer, and copier. The employee is occasionally required to move items up to 50 pounds. The employee works in varied residential environments based on assigned caseload and may encounter unpredictable clients. While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions. The employee must be able to enter and exit a vehicle or a building without assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently drive an automobile, taking clients to appointments, in the local and regional area. Occasionally, travel is outside the local area and overnight.
