The Opportunity
The Visit Experience team is at the core of One Medical's human-centered approach to healthcare. We help our members find care at a time and place that fits their needs. We help with pre-visit expectations and logistics so that members and providers can focus on the right things during a visit. We also coordinate post-visit care so that our members can understand outcomes and next steps. In short, we provide our members with the tools they need to get the most out of every visit.
What you'll likely work on:
- Create a seamless experience for members before, during, and after each visit
- Build new systems and enhance our existing systems for maintainability and resiliency
- Ensure that our systems that will scale as our membership rapidly grows
- Promote engineering best practices and help define the technical roadmap for the team
- Contribute to a member-centric culture so that high quality visits lead to better relationships and better care.
What you'll need
- 6 years of web application engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver technically and organizationally complex projects at scale
- Proficiency in a full stack environment (Ruby/Rails, Django/Python, Node, etc)
- Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (Angular, React, Redux, NgRx)
- Experience building scalable and observable distributed backend systems
- Ability to lead technical architecture discussions and drive towards well-reasoned decisions
- Eagerness to solve challenges through work across the full technology stack
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams to collectively ship complex projects
- Experience and commitment to agile (iterative) software development practices
Not required, but would be great if:
- Experience within the healthcare domain
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code technology
- Passion for continuous learning and mentoring others

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $144,000 to $260,000 Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
