What are the responsibilities and job description for the K-10 Tutor position at One on One Learning?
One on One Learning has partnered with multiple school districts in California and together we are currently seeking energetic and creative tutors to assist with Elementary, Middle, and/or High School subjects after regular school hours. You will be working with students in grades K-12 primarily in Reading and Math. You must be available to work Monday-Friday. We offer competitive pay and flexibility in schedules.
A qualified candidate will demonstrate passion for students to learn and be knowledgeable in required subject areas. We will be conducting school programs in the state of California.
WHO WE ARE:
One on One Learning offers remedial instruction in all subject areas including: Reading, Mathematics, Writing, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Test preparation. Programs in these subjects are designed to help students reach their full potential in grades K-12.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tutors are responsible for leading one on one or small group lessons that cater to the needs and goals of our students. They often have the following responsibilities:
· Working with students to help them understand key concepts in their individualized curriculum binder.
· Use meaningful individualized activities to help students retain information.
· Help students reach academic goals identified by One on One Learning.
· Provide students with positive and constructive feedback.
SCHEDULE:
Tuesdays: 3:00pm-4:30pm and Thursdays: 4:00pm-5:30pm
This job is considered supplemental pay. Tutors are only required to work 2 days a week, 1.5 hours a day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be able to tutor in Coachella, CA.
· A minimum of 60 credit hours towards a college degree in Education.
· Have experience tutoring in one or more of these areas:
- Elementary School Subjects
- Middle School Subjects
- High School Subjects
· Must be comfortable working both one on one and in small group settings.
· Reliable Transportation, be able to commute to Coachella, CA .
· Have a dependable car, an excellent driving record and a valid driver’s license.
· Have a genuine love for working with children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 per hour
