We're looking for a hardworking, detail oriented Interior Designer to work with our team of close knit designers to create beautiful spaces for our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and create strong customer relationships. Candidates should also be excited to work in a collaborative environment and embrace constant change. We consider a history in high end residential design a plus
The must haves:
Strong sense of urgency
Extreme attention to details
Reporting directly to Principal designer and/or Senior Designer
On site measurements
Create drawings and elevations
Furniture sourcing and pricing
Interpret and translate projects into 2D and 3D drawings
Set costs and project fees according to budget
Communication with client's vendors and sub-contractors.
Research and follow industry trends, evolutions and best practices
Qualifications
Proven working experience designing interior spaces, preferability residential experience (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
Minimum 2-4 years working at a design firm
Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and installations.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
Self Starter with a positive attitude
BS degree in Interior Design or similar
Extremely organized with high attention to detail and ability to absorb feedback.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interrupt construction drawings and elevations
