One Tech Engineering is searching for a GIS Designer for a position located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The GIS Designer will assist with a wide range of design and/or field support activities, including the process of the core billing functions, policy audit documentation and requirements, refundable reviews, and other work as defined to ensure core business needs are being met.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 2 years of design, construction, engineering, or project management experience.
GIS Designer Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and tracking of refundable work orders and provide capital budget reporting to various departments and ensure a high level of accuracy within all operating systems to support data integrity and process adherence.
- Creates, updates and revises sketches, working drawings and contract documents software or manual means of drafting to meet customer requirements.
- Prepares 2D and 3D models.
- Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications.
- Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor.
- Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints. Prepares documentation to support design drawings.
- Prepare bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.
Requirements of the GIS Designer:
- 2-4 years of design, construction, engineering, or project management experience.
- Experience using GIS or design software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills
