The Tax Reporting & Compliance Analyst supports Tax Leadership in meeting the overall tax needs of the organization. The Tax Department provides tax compliance, accounting and consulting to various stakeholders in the organization including the accounting, finance, actuarial and investment teams along with various other areas as needed. The Tax Department is in process of transforming from a compliance focused function to a strategic partner and resource for the organization. This role will play a key part in this transformation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Computation of ASC 740 and SSAP 101 quarterly accruals and footnotes as required
- Preparation of Federal and State income tax returns including Life Insurance companies and Consolidated and Unitary returns
- Preparation and remittance of required estimated payments
- Preparation of tax projections
- Research and other special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA or working towards CPA
- 1-3 years of Public Accounting or relevant Industry experience - Insurance Tax Experience a plus
- Ability to work as a partner with other members of the Tax team and stakeholders in other departments
Salary Band: 5B
