SEO Analyst

About the Role

OneCare is seeking an SEO analyst with a passion for building effective, authoritative, and trustworthy content that puts the reader first. SEO is a core function of who we are, so you'll build deep in roads across the organization, from our editorial staff to design and development. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team early on and to learn from the best.

A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and collaborator with an eye for detail, a mind for strategy and technical analysis. As an SEO analyst, you'll identify new topics through extensive keyword research, conduct technical SEO projects to assess and address the needs of our sites, and measure and report on our organic search performance.

This position reports to OneCare's Senior Director of SEO, who is based in Seattle, but the position can be either local or remote depending on the candidate and experience.

What You'll Do

• Work with the marketing and editorial teams to identify site strategy and content plans
• Ongoing keyword research to identify areas of traffic opportunity and gaps in our existing content
• Audit, analyze, and report out on-page and technical SEO recommendations
• Deep integration with the content production team to ensure our editorial output is best-in-class
• Lead research and report on competitive landscape, opportunity analysis, and content strategy
• Measure and report on organic search performance

What We Are Looking For

• 3 years of experience in SEO and content marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Publishing experience in HTML, especially using WordPress
• A high level of understanding and experience with the following platforms:
• SEMrush
• Google Search Console
• ScreamingFrog
• Ahrefs
• Nightwatch
• SERPmetrics
• Motivation and hunger to learn, get your hands dirty, audit, analyze, and strategize
• A team player with a positive outlook and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Possess an aptitude for thoroughly understanding user intent and experience
• Passion for your craft, with an appetite to continue to challenge yourself and those around you
• Knowledge of basic medical terms and familiarity with major medical and scientific journals
• A creative thinker with an ability to breakdown complex subjects in a compelling manor
