Job Description:
As a Warehouse Associate at our almond processing facility, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the packaging and distribution of almond products. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to boxing, sorting, labeling, weighing products, packing, palletizing, and assisting with other warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Box almonds according to specified quantities and packaging guidelines.
- Sort almonds based on quality standards and remove any defective or foreign materials.
- Label packages accurately with product information, batch numbers, and expiration dates.
- Weigh products to ensure compliance with packaging specifications and quality standards.
- Pack almonds into various types of containers, including bags, boxes, and crates, following specific instructions.
- Operate pallet jacks or forklifts to move pallets of packaged almonds to designated storage areas.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in packaging and labeling products.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring products.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
