About The Role
OneH2 is in need of a skilled professional with an understanding of embedded electronics, electronic schematics, data transmission interfaces, wireless data transmission, program and software development, and automated industrial control systems, to support activities for our client site(s) in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
- Creating and understanding software design flowcharts for state-machine control systems.
- Developing state-machine style software for automated control systems using C
- Testing software on live hydrogen production equipment
- Interfacing with industrial control interfaces like RS232, RS485, and ModBus
- Actively contribute to all aspects of the system architecture design and development considering quality, security, performance, cost, and safety.
- Contribute to software architecture and development for new products, prototype, or re-design.
- Support other software teams in both development and production environments.
- Work alongside hardware and software engineer
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based robotic systems using C
- Work with hardware teams to design, develop and debug system issues
- Write and maintain software documentation, including design specifications and test plans
- Participate in code and design reviews to ensure adherence to development best practices
- Develop software that meets performance, security, and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features and functionality
Requirements and Skills
- Degree with a focus on Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant area
- 1 - 2 years of relevant hobby projects designing hardware and software for embedded systems
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience working with embedded industrial control systems
- Basic understanding of AWS and Cloud Systems
- Experience with Arduino hardware and libraries
- Experience with embedded data transmission interfaces (I2C, SPI, Serial)
- Experience with industrial data transmission interfaces (RS232, RS485, CAN, ModBusRTU)
- Implemented systems using FreeRTOS
- Knowledge of ESP-IDF framework
- Basic knowledge of wireless transmission using Cellular, Wifi, Bluetooth, Lora, or Zigbee.
- Attention to detail

- Being able to think creatively while troubleshooting
- Innovated thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter.
- Ability to commute to work daily
- Ability to work individually or with teams of engineers

- Salary range: $75K - $100K
- Upon completion of your 90-day probationary period we also offer a comprehensive benefits package at no cost to you, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. We also cover 25% of your dependents.
