We are currently seeking an IT Technician II a long-term contract opportunity. Work is to be performed on-site at the client facility in Chesapeake, VA.

IT Technician II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Technician II will perform various cybersecurity functions as well as troubleshoot and repair computer and network problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform ACAS scans
• Extract logs for audit
• Install software patches
• Install antivirus updates
• Troubleshoot and repair computers and networks
• Inspect visitor's laptops prior to use in the facility
• Perform preventative maintenance on communications systems and networks
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on communication and facilities equipment
• Provide coordination and assistance for system installations
• Be available to provide assistance outside of normal working hours

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET security clearance
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving history
• Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Must have in-depth knowledge of computer networks
• Must have in-depth knowledge of LINUX and Microsoft operating systems
• Must be familiar with the DoD RMF process
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy CMS program preferred
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy 3M program preferred

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• CompTIA Security or equivalent/higher certification to meet DCWF Code 441 required
• 3 years' experience in satellite communications equipment operations preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have an Active Secret Clearance
