The Admissions Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Director of Outreach and Admissions/Career Transition Services and the team to support the effort in executing marketing and outreach strategies, responding to inquiries, and general office activities.
What is Job Corps? With over 120 campuses across the United States, Job Corps provides free career training and education. Students get the experience they need to begin a career or apprenticeship or advance to higher education. Our vocational trades include Drone Pilot, Overhead Line Electrical, SMART Meter, Auto Body, Tech, Cement Mason, Tile Setting, and Medical Trades.
Salary: $16.00/hour. Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
General Duties:
- Maintain calendar and schedules appointments; send/receives incoming and outgoing mail and follow-ups on dates for action items
- Types of business letters, reports, etc.
- Compose and prepare routine correspondence for signature
- Maintain confidential files and records
- Attends departmental meetings, takes notes, and prepares meeting minutes
- Orders and maintain office supplies and equipment
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to generate standard business letters, forms, and presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbal and written
- Meticulous documentation skills and attention to detail; excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficient in the use of computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to operate office equipment
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
