Responsibilities:
- Create various financial analyses, including valuations and merger and consequences.
- Participate in due diligence sessions and client meetings.
- Collaborate on several projects at once and working effectively as part of a team.
- Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry financial research.
- Execute and advise on various M&A, initial public offerings, follow-ons, mandatory convertibles and exchangeable debt offerings, spin offs/split offs, debt-for-equity exchanges, recapitalizations, and private placements.
- Develop and maintain financial and operating models to analyze trends, perform cost of capital analysis, and calculate financial performance or regulatory reporting metrics.
- Evaluate conceptual soundness of model specification, reasonableness of assumptions and inputs, robustness of numerical aspects, suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics.
- Perform additional modeling activities ranging from proposed enhancements to existing models, extensions to scope of existing models, developing new models for bespoke analysis, to providing transaction-specific approvals.
- Prepare presentation materials and internal approval memos.
- Liaise with Finance and Banking professionals to provide guidance on appropriate usage, model updates, controls around model restrictions & limitations.
- Conduct research using Factset, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson and Factiva to analyze financial data and market dynamics.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related; and
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related finance occupation.
- Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Developing and maintaining financial and operating models to analyze trends, perform cost of capital analysis, and calculate financial performance or regulatory reporting metrics;
- Evaluating conceptual soundness of model specification, reasonableness of assumptions and inputs, robustness of numerical aspects, suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics;
- Performing additional modeling activities ranging from proposed enhancements to existing models, extensions to scope of existing models, developing new models for bespoke analysis, to providing transaction-specific approvals;
- Preparing presentation materials and internal approval memos;
- Liaising with Finance and Banking professionals to provide guidance on appropriate usage, model updates, controls around model restrictions & limitations;
- Conducting research using Factset, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson and Factiva to analyze financial data and market dynamics.
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel as necessary.
