As a Medical Assistant, you will utilize your medical assisting skills to provide care to diverse populations of patients under the supervision of a physician or nurse in the Cardiology Institute. A Medical Assistant in this role is familiar with performing health screenings, collecting specimens, administering medication, updating health records, keeping medical supplies stocked, maintaining examination areas, and monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ conditions. Medical Assistants also perform administrative duties, such as appointment scheduling and patient registration, which offers a unique learning opportunity to expand your skillset.
