Key Responsibilities: The Sr. Analyst of Engine and Components for Supplier Strategy works with leadership to establish United's short and long-term supplier strategy plan. This role will work to establish a plan that is balanced and cost efficient. The Sr. Analyst will help develop a plan and timeline for parts and components from both in-house and outside suppliers. Having a strong analytical background to take into consideration impact of global politics on supply chain, current supplier performance, forecasts of parts and components, creation of standard metrics, supplier engagement, alternative suppliers, and other items to be defined with leadership and the team. The Sr Analyst will collect communications and project plans to convey path forward.
- Work with leadership team to support development of short-term to long-term supplier strategy to ensure United is in partnership with right suppliers (and alternative suppliers) that can support United's growing demand. Help integrate plan across Tech Ops
- Engage with suppliers at a working level to ensure performance to agree upon Service Level
- Agreements (SLAs); proactively surface key challenges with suppliers and work with equivalent peers and leadership teams to mitigate current and future challenge
- Review and evaluate United's internal and suppliers' processes in order to establish improvements
- Ability to develop better tracking and management with suppliers (include automation where possible)
- Analyze data in all aspects of the vendor network
- Improve quality metrics and dashboards to pre-empt shortfalls, identify potential vulnerabilities and build the alternative plans to resolve issues
- Build presentations to share project status and metrics with varying levels of leadership

Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical Project Management, Aviation, or related field
- 2 years supply chain or related experience
- 4 years project management experience
- Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Sophisticated Excel, Tableau, or VBA skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Data analytics experience
- Ability to work in both an execution phase and tactical environment with recommendations from management
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
