As a Tech Risk & Controls Analyst in the Payment and Card Solutions Technology group, you work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards, while supporting technology-aligned process owners in managing operational aspects of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Contributing to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, this role utilizes analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address risks and support larger projects. By fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners, you will help maintain a secure and compliant technology environment for the firm.

This is an exciting opportunity specifically in the Acquiring Platform and Rails Technology (APRT) Controls team for an Analyst position. The successful candidate will assist in transformational programs and projects across the APRT platform which supports the CIB Payments Merchant Services Card Acquiring business. Given the business handles card data, Data Protection, Cyber Security, Access Management, and other Technology, controls are essential and the business is subject to third party Systems and Organizational Controls certification, industry standards and control standards. The APRT platform is going through a modernization program onto the public cloud which brings added complexity as the multi-year transition and client migration is in flight.

Job responsibilities

• Track and record technology-related risks, ensuring compliance with firm, regulatory, and industry standards, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies
• Analyze the health of the risk and control environment, utilizing risk dashboards and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making
• Assist in the management of projects related to risk and control initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with the firm's risk management objectives
• Reporting and analysis of Control Domain performance metrics and findings
• Escalation of issues and risks, collaboration with key stakeholders for resolution and recurrence prevention
• Monitoring, analysis, and SLA management for Application FARM Breaks
• Providing status updates, supporting creation of presentation slides
  

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Baseline knowledge or equivalent experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management practices, control evaluation methods, and regulatory requirements
• Emerging knowledge in data and analytics, governance, and risk management
• High proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and assess data, matrices and operational situations, and address issues strategically
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as the employee is expected to collaborate closely with partners daily, and with Application Owners to resolve issues
• Ability to work independently, efficiently manage time and multiple activities, and execute responsibilities with limited direct supervision
• Detail-oriented, focused, and strong organizational skills required

• Control Procedures/Standards, Control Domains, FARM, GT metrics, GIAM Metrics
• Program and Project Management practices
• Amazon Web Service Cloud Practitioner
• Data Protection and Cyber Security
• CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or other industry-recognized risk and risk certifications preferred
