What you'll do as: Structural Engineer
- Core Function: Develop cost-effective fabric metal building design solutions that prioritize the safety and satisfaction of intended occupants, in line with our commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Structural Analysis and Design: Assist in conducting comprehensive structural analyses, creating detailed drawings and design documentation for building frames and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Simulation and Modeling: Employ structural analysis software to simulate and analyze the integrity and efficiency of metal building frames and components.
- Quality Assurance: Guarantee the quality and integrity of structural designs and calculations with rigorous attention to detail, adhering strictly to company standards and industry best practices.
- CAD Proficiency: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to create precise structural models and production drawings, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with CAD designers, estimators, and project managers to develop solutions that conform to the specifications of the project.
- Technical Reporting: Draft detailed and accurate technical reports for customers and regulatory bodies, documenting structural behavior under various environmental conditions.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and discrepancies in structural design and analysis, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Communication Excellence: Maintain effective communication with team members to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure the success of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in RISA 3D structural analysis software.
- Expertise in SolidWorks 3D and Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant building codes and standards, such as the International Building Code (IBC), ASCE 7, AISC, and Aluminum Association (AA) standards.
