What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hoist Operators Hourly position at Onni Group?
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hoist Operator to join our team at Onni. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hoisting machinery to safely and efficiently moving heavy loads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hoisting procedures and safety protocols, and be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow. This position reporting directly to the Site Superintendent.

What Will You Do?
- Responsible for the safe operation of hoist/elevator to transport employees to various floors
- Conduct daily pre/post inspections of hoist
- Some light general labor
- Sweeping hoist and hoist deck
- Ensuring hoist deck is free from all materials at the end of each shift
- Organizing deliveries
- Cleaning and loading down garbage from skip units
- Letting foreman know before garbage bins are full and ready for call out
- Manage temp labor cleaning garbage
- Responsible for trouble shooting hoist gate contacts and hoist problems
- Be flexible with break times
- Wear required ear protection as per WSBC requirements
- Responsible for replacing hoist loading deck safety handrails after deliveries.
- Any other duties assigned by manager
What You Bring.
- Hold a valid Hoist Ticket
- Able to perform well in high demand situations.
- Hard hat, vest and steel toe boots required.
