About You:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Legal Team in Los Angeles as a Legal Administrator. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, is a self-starter, has excellent time management skill, is personable, and always gets the job done!

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have an interesting role of assisting the Legal Department with contracts and disputes related to construction, leasing, property management, development, and other real estate and corporate matters. Tasks include:

  • Providing administrative support to lawyers, paralegals and personnel in other departments.
  • Assisting with document drafting, reviewing, proofreading, editing, filing, recording and retrieving.
  • Working with documents templates such as construction contracts, leases, notices and forms.
  • Corresponding with governmental entities and other external organizations.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and responding to inquiries.
  • Responding to internal and external requests for information, and performing investigation and research to locate information.
  • Evidence gathering, reviewing, sorting, indexing and summarizing.
  • Review correspondence and documents received and notify applicable personnel regarding significance.
  • Assisting with or setting up service of documents.
  • Preparing external legal budgets and communicating with external counsel.
  • Maintaining databases and Legal Department filing system including updates to information regarding liens and litigation.
  • Performing general office duties including typing, filing and scanning.
  • Scheduling, managing, tracking and coordinating calendar appointments and deadlines.
  • Discreet handling of all company business

This position will allow you to grow your skill set and engage in increasingly challenging tasks as you become a key member of the Legal team.

Summary of Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Legal training and experience will be an asset.
  • This position requires a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent skills in communication (both written and oral), time management, and organizational.
  • The ability to anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities and daily demands.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office technology (including Microsoft Office applications).
  • Ability to type at least 45 wpm.
  • Excellent planning, follow-through, and follow-up skills.
