BROAD FUNCTION

The temporary part-time Admin Support person is responsible for performing administrative work within the OCC @ Liverpool site, under the direction of the Assistant to the Provost/Senior Vice President. The temporary part-time Admin Support person will assist the faculty and students at the Liverpool campus to promote academic excellence and integrity in a rapidly changing environment and to deliver support services designed to enhance student success.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Triage student walk-ins, calls and emails to the office
Faculty support in cooperation with Academic Secretary and teams from main campus
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Academic and Student Affairs leadership.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or higher.
Two years or more in an administrative/clerical position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a higher education setting.

Experience with Ellucian Colleague.

Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.

High level of confidentiality, discretion, judgment, professionalism and integrity
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Highly organized with great attention for detail
Strong technical skills; solid computer experience using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Additional Information:
The schedule for this position is M-Th, 8 am-3 pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. OCC@Liverpool is located on Route 57 near Route 31. The position is open immediately and anticipated to run through the summer. Rate of pay is $17.00/hour. Once hired, the employee will have the option to join the NYS retirement system. This position is not eligible for additional benefits.
