Overview
As an Investment Services Associate, you will directly assist a team of Financial Advisors, working directly with the OnPoint Investment Services department to reach and exceed department goals by performing all essential administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline service for the department by handling incoming calls and responding to inquiries and requests from current and future clients and members.
- Setting appointments via phone and in person with clients and prospects for Financial Advisors. Organize and maintain calendar and meeting schedule.
- Process all required incoming documents from Financial Advisors and track progress of document approval. Work directly with Financial Advisors to correct any paperwork that needs follow-up.
- Process all incoming checks the same day they are received.
- Create, produce, and maintain reports and record keeping for the purpose of growing client relationships and compliance.
- Input member information into database systems. Generate reports from the database to enhance organizational productivity and effectiveness. Perform moderately complex administrative and operational tasks.
- Work on special projects with Financial Advisors and department management as needed. For example: annual client fee management, required minimum distribution tracking, client event preparation, pro-active client communication, branch staff training.
- Assist Financial Advisors in updating all compliance related issues, training, practices and deadlines. Follow up on deadline-driven tasks and issues.
- Occasionally enter securities buy & sell orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and in some cases, with short deadlines and without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.
- Strong decision making and investigative skills, analytical skills as well as problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong telephone presence and ability to communicate effectively on the phone.
- Strong client service & technical skills.
- Knowledge of investment and insurance products, policies & procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- FINRA Series 7, 66 licenses preferred.
- Life and Health Insurance license preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Three years in the financial services industry preferred.
- Willingness to travel to other branches in the area.
