Compounder

OnScent is hiring Fragrance Compounder's f or our 2nd shift at our Norwood, New Jersey location.

Hours are 2 : 30pm to 10 : 00 pm.

Our Compounders are responsible to accurately measure and mix raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions.

Must pay strict attention to detail since the job requires monitoring equipment, controlling temperatures and checking for overall consistency in mixes.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Reviews all safety rules and use personal protective equipment as directed.
• Retrieves ingredients as indicated on the formula, ensuring only QC approved ingredients are used.
• Compound fragrance material from orders retrieved from Batchmetrics system, ensuring accurately weighing and measuring of material.
• Identifies and melts solids with designated melting chemicals, using hot plates, and ensuring that materials are not overheated.
• Stocks supplies and labels containers of raw materials when needed.
• Uses equipment that is in proper working condition and cleans equipment.
• Keeps tanks / pots covered and off the floor at all times.
• Keeps workstations clean at all times.
• Participates in cleaning the production area after shift daily and throw out all garbage in appropriate waste / trash receptacles during shift and at the end of the shift.
• Notifies production lead of missing raw materials needed to complete batch.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• HS Diploma
• Excellent understanding of working with chemicals
• Demonstrate safety focus and understanding of all requirements and safe work practices and policies
• Absolutely Team focused and ability to work well with others.
