What are the responsibilities and job description for the Epi Process Technician position at onsemi?
This Process Technician position supports epi tools and processes, for both sustaining and systemic improvement activities. The selected candidate with work closely with the epi Process Engineering owner and regularly interact with Manufacturing and Maintenance colleagues across all four Fab shifts.
Sustaining responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- OOC event response.
- Standard process adjustments.
- Hold lot dispositions.
- ILP recoveries and documentation.
- ERR coordination.
- Beyond OCAP troubleshooting and resolution.
- Process and Metrology tool operation certifications.
- Excursion co-ownership with ILM and other process areas.
- SPACE and Yield Driver chart monitoring.
- Passdown documentation.
- Looking for things that "aren't right".
Systemic improvement responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operator and Process Technician Training.
- Procedure Standardization.
- Qual time reduction.
- Productivity improvement.
- Excursion mitigation.
- Implementation of interdictions related to real time fault detection.
- Optimization of data collection and SPC charting.
Requirements:
- At least five years working in a Fab environment, with demonstration of applied knowledge acquired from an eagerness to learn
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills
Preferred:
- Strongly prefer candidates with significant direct epi experience
