Job Description Semiconductor Process Specialist (Night Shift Receives 15% Shift Differential!!) - ( 2101029 ) Description
ON Semiconductors Wafer Fab located in South Portland, Maine is looking for a Process Specialist / Sustainer to help support the sites semiconductor production.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience working in a wafer fab and be willing and excited to support and work a 12-hour night-shift schedule.
A demonstrated history of being an extremely self-motivated team player, with a drive to learn new things is also highly important.
Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the Photo, Etch, Thin Films, EPI / Diffusion, Implant and Wet-Etch Processing tools.*
The Day to Day Responsibilities :
- Disposition wafer lots after non-standard processing
- Support Process Engineering team by successfully completing non-standard processing instructions
- Be a go-to person for Operators when it comes to problem solving for escalated events
- Assist Equipment Maintenance and Process Engineering teams in tool trouble-shooting and process issues
- Improve existing processes and assist in creating new ones
- Train operators as needed on both existing and new tools / processes
- Provide additional support as needed on varied manufacturing activities as defined by the shift supervisor.
- Continuously be trained and cross-trained on various tool subsets throughout the fab, including but not limited to : ET, Probe, Scribe, and DDP
Qualifications
The Must Haves :
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Wafer Fab Operator, with demonstrated tool / process knowledge
- Certifications and training across all major platforms for specialty areas in need of support. Before hire, the successful candidate should have a solid understanding of at least four of the eight major areas.
- Proficiency in the use of Metrology equipment (Microscopes, Reflectomery, Elipsometry, IR, SEM, etc).
- Strong analytical reasoning and communication skills
- Drive to learn, grow, continuously improve, and help others do the same
- Demonstrated adherence to specified procedures with a safety first, quality always mindset
- Must have a positive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude, and a do whatever it takes work ethic.
- Must have ability to work effectively and take initiative with little continuous direct supervision as well as handle sudden changes in daily priorities.
