Sr PKI Engineer
Duration: 06 Months contract
Location: Snoqualmie, WA (On-Site for a Month then can work remotely if required to visit candidate has to go onsite)
Description
We are looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to work with Spacelabs distributed engineering and operations teams to design, implement, code, configure and validate Information Security systems used in the design and manufacturing of our product.
Responsibilities:
- Perform an in-depth comparative analysis (including benefits and risks) of the architecture, design, and implementation of a physical local PKI implementation vs cloud PKI implementation
- Two main use-cases to be supported:
- Creation and installation of a certificate during manufacturing of the device to identify the monitor as a Spacelabs device
- Creation and installation of a certificate at the customer site to identify the site as a Spacelabs deployment
- Design, develop and implement the IT infrastructure and associated processes that support the Spacelabs Factory Certificate Authority (CA).
- Design, implement, and validate a highly available, stable, and secure CA services environment.
- Implement a secure CA to support the latest technology
- Create support and maintenance procedures
- Ensure services are performing according to specifications, meet defined procedures, and comply with applicable information security policies and requirements.
- Ensure the PKI and PKE systems align to the company’s Information Security policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve Spacelabs processes and end user experiences.
- Anticipate potential objections and influence others to enable positive outcomes for Spacelabs.
- Collaborate with Service, Engineering, and Leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Document relevant design and procedures that aligns with Spacelabs good documentation practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
- Deep understanding of Linux and some Windows Server experience
- Deep technical understanding in the following areas:
- Public Key Infrastructure (Certificate Authority, Registration Authority, Remote Key Management,)
- Digital Signatures (Internally and Externally provisioned certificates),
- Multi-factor Authentication Services
- Security design implementation and administration and
- network security
- 7 years of infrastructure support and management in an Enterprise environment.
- 5 years of technical experience leading the work of system administrators, operations support teams, architects or software developers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical material to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
