What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at Onyx Protective Services, LLC?
We are looking for a professional security guard to protect our premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions on the client's premises. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.
Essential Functions
- The primary focus of this site is to enforce parking and tow unauthorized vehicles.
- Visually monitor customer traffic and deter vehicles from parking on the fire lanes of the plaza
- Deter theft via visual observation
- Advise all loiters to leave premises
- Maintain a safe business environment
- Communicate suspicious activity via staff reporting app
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 1-2 years of security experience
- D-License
- Reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking
- May occasionally involve reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
