Job Description: The Analytics Engineer will report to OneOncology’s Senior Director of Analytics Engineering. This role will translate business needs into technical solutions by curating data models and building self-service data products. Responsibilities Build relationships with stakeholders to understand problems in their domain and identify areas where data & automation can help. Source new data to answer business questions and pair with our data engineering team to ingest them into our cloud data warehouse (Databricks/Spark). Curate modular, version-controlled, data models & metrics via DBT other tools/semantic layers. Design and scale PowerBI cubes enabling analysts to automate & analyze millions of rows of data via spreadsheets and other preferred user interfaces. Evangelize the value of our data assets to teammates and demonstrate how to effectively use our tools for maximum impact. Key Competencies Strong SQL developer. Ability to analyze data using at least one (1) other programming language. Experience with cloud based BI platforms and semantic layers like LookML & PowerBI/DAX. Intellectually humble and understands the business impact of data tasks. Qualifications A bachelor’s or master’s degree with rigorous coursework in computer science, statistics, econometrics, physics, or other applied math disciplines required. 2 years of experience working on a data team with the ability to independently own a project from requirements gathering, through development, to delivery & presentation to stakeholders required. Experience working on or deeply collaborating with a data/analytics engineering team required. Familiarity with revenue cycle management, billing/claims, and other healthcare data preferred. Prior analytical experience in strategy, finance, or at a venture-backed startup preferred.
