What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Opal Grand Resort?
Summary:
The core job Duties & Responsibilities the Bartender position include but are not limited to:
· Responsible for mixing and serving beverages for bar guests, along with preparing alcoholic beverages for cocktail servers (service bar).
· Required to both set-up, and break down the bar every day including opening and closing side-work daily duties and weekly duties for cleanliness of the bar upkeep.
· Provide daily liquor requisitions for management, along with ensuring that the bar is fully stocked at the beginning and end of every shift while making sure to check inventory to maintain required par.
· Maintain the appearance of the bar area throughout their shift.
· Comply with all state and federal liquor regulations.
· Use blender to make frozen drinks
· Take accurate food and beverage orders using general knowledge
· Assist in running food from kitchen to guest
· Serve tables in dining area when needed
· Present guest with accurate check and collect payment
· Assist with any reasonable direction from management
The Guest Service Expectations for a Bartender include but are not limited to:
· Provide a proper greeting to each and every guest
· Smile and greet the guests as you encounter them throughout your shift
· Keep your assigned areas clean and stocked throughout your shift
· Assist other departments as requested
· Assist the guest whenever and however you can
· Your uniform is clean and properly worn with your name tag
The Desired Qualifications of the Bartender position include:
· Exceptional people skills
· Desire to contribute and work as a team by exercising good practice habits and taking initiative to start projects that would be needed to maintain organization and functionality of the outlet.
· 2 years previous bartending experience
· Full knowledge of POS
· Full knowledge of menu
· Proper food handling techniques
· Ability to monitor and control guests’ alcohol consumption (Responsible alcohol serving techniques)
· Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to stand on their feet for extended amounts of time, and able to lift or carry 30 pounds.
· Must adhere to OPL standards for Policy and steps of service
