Our client has a permanent full-time role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in their Columbia Maryland Headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a Human resources group and assist the company hire and retaining top talent.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following.
Essentiantial Duties:
Partnering with the hiring manager to determine staffing needs
Self-directed execution of the full life cycle recruiting process with an emphasis on meeting staffing goals
Develops and maintains a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of staffing needs
Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Utilizes various methods of recruitment, including, but not limited to internet job boards, company careers page(s), career fairs, social media, and networking.
Maintains compliance with OFCCP (Office of Federal Contracting Compliance Programs) non-discrimination and affirmative action regulations concerning hiring practices
Networks with various internal and external contacts to find qualified candidates
Develops and tracks measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process and uses this data for continuous process improvement
Develops and utilizes relationships with various staffing agencies/recruiting firms to assist in filling various openings
Conducts pre-screening interviews and coordinate interview and feedback process
Maintains applicant tracking data
Develops and communicates offer and rejection letters
Conducts background checks and other required screenings, as needed
Assists in the development of job descriptions, as needed
Updates employee files and HRIS database, as needed
Compiles reports for management, as needed and other HR duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent, from an accredited college or university
A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated recruiting experience
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter
Experience and knowledge with an HRIS, specifically UKG Pro is preferred
Previous experience working or recruiting for federal contractors is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as within a team to meet hiring needs with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment successfully
Knowledge of HR and employment laws
Knowledge of industry best practices for orientation programs and successful onboarding of new employees
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
