What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant (floater) position at open-arms-of-fort-pierce?
Open Arms of Fort Pierce is currently looking for a teacher assistant to join our team to start in the fall.
The ideal candidate should have experience in classrooms of all ages from birth to 5, background in Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Education, or Childcare/Daycare.
Keep children from birth to 5 healthy and safe by feeding them, changing diapers, keep them and the environment around them clean and safe at all times and candidate MUST be comfortable interacting with children of all ages.
You will be required to sing songs, read books, play with them and help them reach their next milestones.
This position is a closing shift and requires you to close down the room at the end of the night which includes but not limited to sweeping and mopping the floor, vacuum the rug, sanitize all toys and clean the tables.
A 45 hour childcare certification is required to obtain within the first 90 days of employment. Experience with children in a childcare setting is required. The hours for this position are 9-6pm.
This is a floating position, which means, you will be working in many different classrooms with many different ages.
