SVP & SBA Operations Manager II

The SBA Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects required for ensuring proper processing, closing, and servicing of SBA loans as well as managing a holdover account used to maintain good faith deposits from loan applicants and pay third party invoices.  SBA Operations Manager will perform all the duties of the SBA Operations Officer while supervising and providing oversight of other SBA Operations Officers.  

 JOB RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:

  • Supervise SBA Operations Officer and SBA Operations Assistant.
  • Oversee processing, closing, and servicing of SBA loans to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures and timely completion to meet deadlines.
  • Review loan files for conditions of approval and follow through to obtain proper and complete documentation. 
  • Review preliminary title reports for acceptable exceptions and request payoff- demands. 
  • Review all collateral documents along with any underwriting conditions submitted in the loan package to verify completeness and accuracy in accordance with all policy and procedure requirements. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required. 
  • Minimum seven years of experience in SBA loan processing, closing and servicing required. 
  • General knowledge of lending regulations, lien laws, and loan documentation.
  • Organizational ability with strong supervisory and management skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
