What's the Role
The accounting Invoicing/clerk is responsible for performing daily invoicing functions within the accounting and/or sales division; all billings to customers as well as the cash application of customer payments received by the organization.
What you will do: Core duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.
- Creates all invoices to customers and runs validation reports to understand variances and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Familiar with accounting software, QuickBooks, JD Edwards etc
- Make calls to customers to review invoices.
- Issue refunds, credits, and adjustments.
- Create ad hoc invoices
- Create charts and graphs for unit metrics
- Analyze fund balances for reasonableness
- Reconcile and research favorable and unfavorable deposit adjustments
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Light collection activity
- Reviews agreements and make recommendations for changes
- Applies customer payments, processes credit memos
- Researches and solves payment discrepancies as well as reviews A/R aging and assists with collections.
- Processes credit card and ACH payments and manages auto-payments for customers with usage-based billings.
- Makes adjustments to accounts as needed.
- Updates weekly A/R report for Customer Success Management team.
- Provides support to accounting and sales as required.
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- This role can have no prior or current felonies related to financial matters
Necessary Tools & Skills:
· Associates degree in Accounting preferred
· 2 to 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software and internet-based systems and accurate analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in reconciling and analyzing individual bank accounts for the Association.
- Ability to work with Quickbooks and/or other accounting software in performing job duties.
