RN Service Leader- Thoracic/Vascular/Cardiac
Statement of Purpose:
In addition to his/her Registered Professional Nurse responsibilities, the Service Leader Nurse for Specialty Service(s) will be a clinical expert resource, responsible for orientation and education of staff members to all phases of the specialty area including patient procedures and use and maintenance of all special equipment, also they will coordinate and participate in total intraoperative care for patients within surgical specialty. He/she also is responsible for coordinating equipment/ instrumentation/supply needs of the surgical specialty through collaborative efforts with other members of the health care team (i.e. Clinical Coordinator, Scheduling, Anesthesia, Surgeons, Purchasing Department, CSR, etc.).
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing for Registered Nurses-(Associate Degree, Diploma, BSN)
Certification / License: Current RN license in Massachusetts-current CPR skills - AORN Membership required- CNOR preferred
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in OR preferred - Must work a minimum of 24 hours.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
