The Community Engagement Coordinator creates an organizational and service environment that supports superior program productivity, robust community engagement, and shared enthusiasm for saving community cats. Additional responsibilities include trainings and orientations, production and/or procurement of training and informational videos, initiating and assisting with fundraising campaigns and constituent management, handling marketing and social media campaigns, assisting with caregiver support and day-to-day programmatic activities as needed.
This position reports directly to the Operations Director. The candidate will also coordinate providing information to the Executive Director and Board of Directors as requested.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school education or higher, with experience in a relevant position for at least 2 years. Relevant experience should include but is not limited to:
· Actively managing a volunteer program
· Engaging donors to provide financial support for a nonprofit
· Working in a fast-paced, customer service driven environment
· Assisting diverse and underserved populations
· Completing tasks with limited oversight or direction
Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Support & special events (5%)
· Assist as needed with day-to-day activities such as clinic admissions & discharge, client communications, trap loan, animal or supply transport, deployment prep, cleaning, & laundry.
Outreach (10%)
· Represent Operation Catnip at tabling and networking events, conferences, and more.
· Schedule and supervise volunteers at Operation Catnip events i.e. Catio deep clean and landscaping projects.
Volunteer Coordination (50%)
· Post volunteer activity to Volgistics.
· Communicate with volunteers regularly, providing guidance and instruction.
· Maintain volunteer records.
· Engage volunteers through personal notes and responses.
· Schedule and supervise volunteers.
· Grow volunteer base to increase numbers and engagement.
Social Media & Content Creation (10%)
· Engage constituents through a robust social media presence under the guidance of the Operations Director
Fundraising & Development (25%)
· Assist with grant writing.
· Develop and implement business fundraising initiatives.
· Assist with Direct Mail program.
· Post donations to Donor Perfect.
