FINANCIAL YOUTH COACH
For twenty-five years Operation HOPE has been dedicated to advancing financial dignity for all by empowering underserved communities through financial literacy. Youth/Young Adult programming aims to extend Operation HOPE’s financial literacy continuum from youth through adulthood, supporting the next generation to become financially-empowered adults. We equip young people with the financial education, coaching, and connections necessary to secure a better future - providing guidance through personal aspirations and life’s challenges - facilitating a journey to financial independence.
JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will support the development of financial literacy in young adults in a manner that encourages measurable, positive outcomes. You will be based out of a HOPE Inside location, providing face-to-face group workshop facilitation utilizing Operation HOPE curriculum and instructional materials. In addition, as a HOPE Youth/Young Adult coach, you will provide individualized, one-on-one client coaching support. You will serve as the primary point of contact at your location, addressing internal and external client interactions with business partners and senior leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Youth Programs.

Promote a culturally responsive youth-guided culture in group workshops and individual coaching sessions

Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate workshops on financial literacy basics in accordance with the HOPE Youth/Young Adult curriculum

Coordinate and schedule online, phone, or in-person coaching sessions

Conduct client and consultant interactions using strategic client management methodologies and tools

Accurately maintain client data utilizing the case management system

Recruit, build, and lead clients in order to achieve strategic performance objectives

Build and maintain community alliances and execute marketing objectives

Liaison with partner and the community
Skills/Qualifications

Strong experience in education, counseling or advising with young adult populations

Bachelor’s degree is preferred, however, will consider comparable 2 years of work experience in the financial industry

Experienced Financial Coach with outstanding people skills and ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships

Strong presentation skills with the ability to conduct engaging, client-centered group workshops

Must be savvy at internal and external communication techniques and messages

Basic computer literacy a must: minimum proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ability to navigate online data management systems and online learning platforms

Must possess strategic thinking expertise as well as the ability to plan and execute tactical strategies to implement company objectives

Good listener and self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work with minimal hands-on direction

High-energy individual who demonstrates confidence, accountability, and professionalism while demonstrating personal integrity, resilience, and respect for others

Multitask oriented with the ability to initiate, manage and maintain several projects and
program relationships simultaneously

Professional demeanor and attire will be required in this position

market area
