JOB TITLE: Manager of Marketing and Development

DEPARTMENT: Administration/Development

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

WAGE: Salary (exempt)

WORK HOURS: 40 hour work week; with additional flexible hours

as needed.

SUPERVISES: Grant writer, Marketing Assistant, volunteers and students (if applicable)

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Marketing and Development supports the Chief Executive Officer in all facets of marketing and development for Opportunities for Inclusion. S/he works to promote a positive and progressive image of the agency; market agency programs and services and develop donors for Opportunities for Inclusion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsibilities include: implementation of the Annual Development Plan; foundation and corporate grant research, and all events and print media updates.

WORK PACE: Self-paced, requiring ability to meet demands of agency in often-times fast-paced emotionally demanding work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· B.A. Degree with a minimum of three to five years in a management position; Masters Degree preferred.

· Previous experience in development and marketing.

· Ability and flexibility to work with a variety of people in different capacities.

· Excellent planning and organizational skills. Self starter and independent worker.

· Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

· Driver's license and car.

· Flexible work schedule (i.e. evening and weekend hours).

· Ability to organize, schedule and prioritize multiple tasks, some with deadlines.

· Computer skills (word processing, WEB updates, desk-top publishing, networking, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Marketing & Development

· Follow Annual Development Plan with financial goals

2. Media & Public Relations

· Create and update all electronic and print media (web, e-blast, social media, newsletter, Guidestar, brochures, annual report, and agency program folder).

· Liaison to newspaper, cable tv, radio, as needed and required

· Attend community events (Rotary, Chamber etc.)

3. Events

· Plan and implement agency events – Harvest Breakfast, CIAO Down, Annual Mtg (others as needed)

4. Systems Administration

· Maintain Raiser’s Edge

· Direct Admin Assistant in special projects (mailings, Raiser’s Edge reports, etc).

· Oversee students Marketing Assistant and grant writer.

5. Other

· Attend Management Team meetings and quarterly Employment Marketing Meetings.

· Participate in Strategic Planning and Operational Plan process

· Complete Operational Plan mid-year and final report

· Purchase special items – meeting food, gifts, agency-logo merchandise

· Other duties as assigned by CEO

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
