Summary of Working as a Grant Compliance Coordinator:
- The Grant Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of grant management comply with the terms and conditions set by funding agencies. This includes monitoring grant activities, maintaining documentation, creating & submitting all financial reports to the appropriate government entity, and providing guidance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and Agency regulations. This position oversees the compliance and reporting processes associated with grants while ensuring/maintaining adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. The Grant Compliance Coordinator also develops policies and procedures to support compliance efforts, and provides training to staff on grant compliance issues.
- WORK SCHEDULE: Full time, 37.5 hour work-week, Mon-Fri
- Pay: $55,000 - $62,000 annually, based on education, experience, and certification/licensure.
Responsibilities of the Grant Compliance Coordinator include (in part):
- Assists in the preparation of budgets or forecasts, annual reporting, audits, and analytical review as needed in conjunction with grant oversight.
- Oversees the lifecycle of grants, from pre-award to post-award stages.
- Coordinates with various departments to ensure adherence to grant requirements and timelines.
- Auditing and reporting: Prepares and oversees internal audits to ensure grant compliance. Develops and submits required reports to grantors, including financial and performance reports.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for compliance-related questions and concerns
Requirements of a Grant Compliance Coordinator

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting practices and business operations, including experience with grant management, compliance, and auditing. nonprofit experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations and guidelines.
